Look who we met today!

Yes I met Daisy Doo today and Oliver! Off I went to Ikea and met Helen (Little Miss Scrapper or Helsbells on UKS) and little Oliver and I saw those gorgous blue eyes for real today!

We went for a wander round Ikea, and I eyed up the new bookcase I want for my craft room, which I can't fit in the car with Chloe in, so I had to leave it behind! And we had Ikea's famous meatballs for lunch!

We wandered around some more shops then went for coffee at costas (for those of you who know me well, I had a fanta cos I hate coffee! lol)

Thanks for a lovely day Helen! It was lovely to meet you both and I can't wait until we can do it again!

Builders Breakfast!

I've not been very well tonight, had awful stomach cramps and the ***** and I just fancied a packet of crisps, so Dave brought me some walkers crisps called 'Builders Breakfast' and I had one crisp and was nearly sick!!!

They taste of eggs - eeuuuuuwww!!!! I had to spit it out (into a tissue) my face was a picture apparently!

For anyone who doesn't know, I have a real aversion to eggs, I can't stand the smell never mind the taste and I've been like that since I was a baby and my mum tried to give them to me!

He had the 'Chilli & Chocolate' flavour!!! And left in the packet are 'Onion Bhaji' flavour! It's put me off eating crisps which isn't a bad thing lol (for now!)

Sorry if its too much information lol

(Will update blog soon with piccys of Center Parks from last week! We had a lovely time, even though it rained lots!)

Saturday day out!

Chloe and I went out for the day today, we called into Samual Taylors for a few bits and bobs and had a drink with Hazel and everyone who was cropping! Chloe says thankyou to Hazel, Marie and Jane for her cuddles and for letting mummy do her shopping!

Then we went to Rachel's to visit, I couldn't work out to get the wheels on the buggy and one ended up falling off as I went up the kerb! We had a lovely time at Rachels and it was really nice seeing Natalie and Alex there, he is soo cute! Rachel looked right at home holding Chloe and I got a little cuddle of Alex!

Center Parc's Whinfell Forest - Cumbria

We've had a lovely week at Center Parc's, its a lovely place, you feel like you are in a different world, so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Or you can have busy and loads of activities if you want!

The main center...

Grandma & Grandpa came up to visit for a couple of days whilst we were there as we had a 4 bedroomed chalet!

Behind us was just the forest, we saw loads of wild life through the patio doors, woodpecker, robin, blackbirds, sparrows, pigeons, pheasant and a stoat! It was lovely watching them all! We also saw some rabbits and red squirrels whilst we were roaming, unfortunately by the time we got the camera out the squirrels had disappeared!

Chalet...

It was bigger than our house! We had a lovely little log fire too by the patio doors, but I forgot to take a photo of it!

Daddy & Chloe.. Grandpa & Chloe...

Grandma is being a bad influence again!!

hmmm that looks interesting...

I fancy some of that...Almost....

Week 4 Layout

I've done another one! Hope you are impressed Helen! I'm submitting this one for this coming week, as I won't get chance to do any scrapping.

I'm quite pleased! I've actually managed to use some of the hoards of buttons I have!

I've used a journalling spot from my friend Kirsty (thanks doo!) and a making memories noteworthy page, and the paper is SEI Chick-a-dee.

Day trip out with the girlies!

Kirsty & Hazel came over for coffee, which incidently they didn't get lol, instead off we went to Harrogate to visit 'Art from the Heart' shop, which was fab!

Kirsty, Chloe & Me! (Hazel wouldn't have her piccy taken as usual) lol

It was a bit tricky getting into it with a pram! But worth it!

Here's what I bought!

Afterwards, we stopped by the pub, not sure what it's called, but its just on the outskirts of Harrogate, near the show ground (we've been to it before lol)

We had such a giggle, thanks for a fab day out girls!

LPD Crop Results

I'm just catching up! Had a fab day on Saturday, although Chloe wouldn't let me scrap! She was far too interested in what was going on around her! (Scrapbooker in the making?) Hands off my stash! lol

Anyway I managed to get my photo's stuck down for my 'Scrap Your Day' December entry, which I have just finished the journalling now!

As you can see I had an awful lot of photo's to get on there! And a pile of photo's that couldn't fit on! I'm probably going to use them on my JYC (Journal Your Christmas book).

I also just started this layout 25 minutes before the end of the crop and I have managed to get it finished. I'm quite pleased with it and Dave likes it! It's one of our favourite photo's, I hope you like it too.

I'm doing well with Helen's challenge! :o) (So far! It's only 2 weeks into January! lol)

3 Layouts! A good start to Helen's Challenge!

I hope you are impressed, not only have I completed my CJ entry (which I can't show you just in case the owner looks on here) I have done 2 layouts! I bet that's shocked you!

This one is Chloe, snuggled up in her pram while I had a hospital appointment.

I used SEI Chick-a-dee papers, precious stamp from Heidi Swapp, and the heart is from an old go-go kit.

This one is a photo from Shimelles 'Scrap Your Day' challenge, where I had to take a self portrait, which didn't turn out that bad!

I used Daisy Bucket, perfect harmony papers, heidi swapp love stamp, Snag'em chick stamp, making memories noteworthy journalling pad, and other embellishments which I can't remember where they are from, sorry!

I hope you like them both!

Challenge!

Right I am going to put this in black and white, (well blue and lilac in this case!) my friend Helen has challenged me to do a layout a week :oO

Which is a massive challenge, if you read my previous blog entry you will have seen that I only managed 12 layouts for the whole of last year!

Can I do it? Well I am going to try! So this entry is so that you can all see me trying lol

Baby it's cold outside!

But it's warm and cosy in here!

We went for a walk in the grounds of Temple Newsome this morning, and it was extremely cold! Dave took his camera to have a play with and I took his little point and shoot so I could play too!

Me trying to take arty photo's..

Naughty Grandma

Grandma Bob gave Chloe half a white chocolate button at Xmas. It's led to bad habbits!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all, I hope 2009 is a good one for everyone!

Look what Grandma has started!

Naughty Grandma!

Reflecting on 2008, it's been a very good year for us! It started late 2007 on Christmas day when Dave asked me to marry him, then on boxing day we found out I was pregnant! We then decided to get married before the baby was born, on March 28th at Leeds Town Hall (Beautiful place!) We managed a cheap honeymoon to Gran Canaria too, then our beautiful daughter Chloe was born on the 18th August, and our lives were turned upside down! What an amazing year, we are looking forwards to 2009 and seeing her grow and change, she has changed so much already!

We have had some lovely family times this year, a surprise visit from my family while Dave and I were at Centre Parcs for my birthday, a good weekend seeing the horses and visiting Whitby with Daves Mum & Dad, a lovely weekend with my Auntie Vicki and Uncle Fred. I've also made alot of friends this year, more people on UKS, Leeds Paper Dolls, Bumps n Babes and I've met some lovely people at the baby classes I've been going to. There have also been some very sad moments, I hope 2009 is a better year for those people who have suffered greatly this last year.

Scrapping wise, I have had several projects on the go, a BOM, Creative A-Z journal(which is only half done) Shimelle's 'Scrap Your Day' on the 25th of each month which is ongoing, I joined it late! And finally a JYC (Journal Your Christmas) which I am a little bit behind on, the 21st was my last completed page.

After reading my friend Helen's blog I decided to do a top ten slide show of my favourite layouts of 2008 too, only to discover I only have 10 layouts! Well there are actually 12, one of which I can't display for some reason and the other I can't show you as it's very similar to my CJ entry for Marie's CJ.

So here are my top (ONLY) ten!

New Years resolutions:

1. Do more layouts!
2. Get upto date with my scrap projects.
3. Lose weight (Like I haven't said that before)
4. Eat healthier meals.
5. Do more exercise.
6. Keep the house clean and tidy.
